Yeah, I agree with the neo-malthusian analysis of the sitch.
But I'd only really credit Malthus with the core principle that exponential growth is lethal on one planet.

It would be impressively stupid if we got there without already having fixed some of those issues by other means.
But I guess "impressively stupid" is a good byline for humans in cases like this, so if we don't all die here maybe that's where we end up.
