Noticed it seems to be a consistent habit of fan pages or discussion groups dedicated to some big name, that basically nobody talks about said person. Instead, it's all about the curators & posters' own ideas that they think the work of said person somehow validated.

This phenomenon made some big-time ruckus with Jordan Peterson, but I can't think of a famous person who *hasn't* been treated this way by their fans.

Yeah. Met more than one person who was like that, but I know one particularly stark example. "Jordan Peterson is the greatest intellectual of our time." "Machiavelli was the greatest political operator ever." Etc. "the greatest" seemed to mean "I read and enjoyed" to him.
