I'd say something about how dogs are easy to understand and only people are messed up, but our dog is so PTSD'd I have no idea what she thinks.

Turns out pretty much any organism will develop weird behaviours if brought up badly.
The idea that it happens only to humans is hopelessly anthropocentric.
