In all four cases, I'd ask why the earlier work can show so much heart if the later work is going to be so heartless (or at least cynical?)
I'll conceed I could have been just flat-out fooled, but it is also worth thinknig of the lines from the Daodejing:

With desire, one can only percieve outcomes
I see earlier works that have a sense of wonder, the product of real curiosity and empathetic thought on the human condition. .. then diatribes for likes.
Or, worse, the Phantom Menace
