US politics is a hoot to me as a Norwegian because every time I see Bernie Sanders, I see a hawkish moderate a bit too keen on war, and every time I see any other prominent politician I see someone who's escaped from the local asylum and everyone is interviewing for some reason.

I just meant I think the causal analysis is a bit off - not that I can prove it. We maintained social democracy until the yuppies, then reclaimed it immediately. Going neoliberal now, though. Idiots. <_<
