Excessive wealth accumulation is the surplus killing of the human world. It's nothing more than that, I think. Just another behavior that made sense to our ancestors and has long since lost any good purpose it may have had.

I get it: living in the US or somewhere else with a poor social safety net means you *have to* rely on your own wealth. A compelling argument for joining the 1%. Not a very compelling argument for stacking billions on top of billions, though.
