US politics is a hoot to me as a Norwegian because every time I see Bernie Sanders, I see a hawkish moderate a bit too keen on war, and every time I see any other prominent politician I see someone who's escaped from the local asylum and everyone is interviewing for some reason.

Israel massacres another wave of demonstrators: Bernie Sanders: *both sides boilerplate* US senator interviewed on live television: "It was the Hamas. They did the bad thing. Also, we need to bomb Iran. It's their fault. Did I say Russia was behind this? Russia was behind this."

US politics is so batshit insane, the "moderate" position is only a short slide away from advocating ethnic cleansing (as it has done before, many times).

With apologies to people with mental health issues - such as Louise Mensch, who only has a career because the americans *can't tell the difference* between their political punditry and schizophrenia. As if there is one, in practical terms.
