We must also recognize the ongoing issues in Indian country. We must address the missing and murdered Indigenous women crisis; disproportionate rates of incarceration, poverty, substance abuse, and suicide; education inequity; untreated historical trauma; and much more. (4/5)
I remain inspired by Native congresswomen @Deb4CongressNM and @sharicedavids. I’m running for Congress because it is high time for a Native voice to represent Wisconsin, not because I am Ho-Chunk, but because Native issues are human issues. Representation matters. (5/5)
