The Biden admin seized $7b from the Afghan people and gave half to the victims of 9/11. The lead lawyer for those victims is... the Biden Afghan special counsel, who left the admin in January to take this legal gig and will now reap a financial windfall.

This is unbelievable. The literally published a 3000 word story about how boring I am. Tracked my movements, and even secretly followed me around with a camera! How do they not have a public editor??

The CIA is secretly collecting vast troves of data on Americans not only without a warrant, but without oversight from Congress or the courts of any kind.

The court ordered settlement protecting press freedom—between Minnesota State Patrol and the journalists they attacked and assaulted back in 2020—should be a model for state and local jurisdictions around the country.

Skepticism of government officials – especially when what they say is based on evidence they won’t share – is something the press corps needs to relearn over and over again, if they learn it at all.

Important thread on the 'Trust everything your government says or you're a stooge of our enemies' approach the Biden administration is serving up to journalists today. Insulting to the intelligence of the public.

Biden’s Justice Department promised to support a strong journalist shield law. So why hasn’t it? Sen. calls 's delays "extremely frustrating, and frankly unacceptable.”

Almost every year—sometimes multiple times per year—a government watchdog details systematic and egregious abuses inside the NSA's surveillance programs. Yet every year, Congress and the FISA court does almost nothing to rein them in.

Rainey gave me my first job out of law school (my dream job at that) and was the best boss I ever had. She made a HUGE mark on civil liberties. Very sad for , very happy I get to keep working with her on the board of , and can't wait to see what she does next.

Why is this so important? can change its rules for spying on reporters with the stroke of a pen. Until they are passed into law, they are virtually unenforceable. DOJ promised to support a bill to do just that. So far, they have refused.
