1/2 First, my thoughts go out to those stationed at al Asad Air Base, and in Erbil. As we wait for details to come in, I pray the initial "no casualties" report holds true. I spent June-December 2004 at al Asad, and if needed, I would go back again.
2/2 Iran has been provoking the US and our allies for decades. The elimination of Soleimani was a direct response to an ATTACK on our Embassy. I hoped Iran would get the message, but they have directly attacked us again, and we unfortunately, MUST respond.
