This aspect of the lag has been fixed for a long time now. As far as I recall, the only remaining lag issue on FoD is from Wario's Bike, when the screen zooms in while Wario turns and the droplets flood the screen. This has sadly not been fixed. Honestly the splash from the bike is irrelevant. Its like the tiniest of advantages thats super unlikely to even come up. Compared to the advantages certain chars gain from the platforms it seems sort of comical to worry about splash except as a tiny advantage.

And yet this splash alone has shut down discussion of the stage for months. If people have a change of heart and decide to embrace it despite the splash, I'm all for it.
