When it exists, sure.

It doesn't exist because the cops are fucking up? I thought it existed because this is America.

Putting the word "America" on a map doesn't create a region in which law and order exist. Law and order requires the deliberate exercise of power over a territory. If that power is withheld (as currently is the case in many cities) then you will not have law and order.

So "law and order" means absolving this kid of responsibility for his actions? You're really going to need to break that one down for me.

Law and order means a stable environment in which people's lives and property are protected by the state. There was not law and order in Kenosha as the state refused to stabilize the situation. Because of this government failure, citizens acted to protect their lives and property

So the shooter isn't responsible for his own actions, I understand your point. I disagree, because I'm not an anarchist.

I am the one advocating for the state to resolve the situation. This makes me the antithesis of an anarchist. I am the one calling for government protection of property rights. This makes me the antithesis of an anarchist. I'm not an anarchist, so think of a new retort.

You're the one making excuses for this kid. I'm just going by the words you choose.

Which words? At no point prior to my last tweet did I use the word "anarchist." From the beginning I cited the need for government intervention.

Your words. Absolving people of responsibility for their own actions is anarchy.

Anarchy is the lack of a central power with authority to use force. Anarchy was the state of Kenosha that night. Anarchy, again, is what I oppose. He is absolved precisely because he took responsibility and tried to protect a community in the flames of anarchy.

You do not oppose anarchy if you absolve criminals of responsibility for their actions.

Shooting someone in self defense does not make one a criminal.
