Do you write "a historic" or "an historic?" There's only one right answer.
An. I'm right. Studied history. It's used because ahistoric is a word meaning something that is not linked to history. Therefore "an" is used to differentiate it conceptually.

Well, you historians are ignoring grammar :). Written, A Historic is clearly different than Ahistoric. There is also a matter of context.

So, it should be written "a historic" but pronounced "an historic?" The correct pronunciations of "a" are "eh," "ah," and "an"?
