I think the thing that makes me most angry about the current state of affairs is that politicians have zero accountability. There are zero consequences for their ridiculous actions and choices. They sit in their ivory towers while everyday people lose everything. It's gross.

Nothing I said implies that human rights are subjective. Their philosophical existence may not be beholden to a vote, but their security is. The foundation of our government’s legitimacy is rooted in the jealous guardianship of those rights by the citizenry.
