Civil servants should be hired for 10 year contracts. Term limits on elected officials don't limit the power of the politicians. They limit the ability of the voters to elect who they want. The threat to our Republic is career bureaucrats, not career politicians.

Would this apply to say public health specialists like epidemiologists? Many public sector workers train for years to be qualified for their careers and a term limit for them is preposterous. I expect you are thinking of mgmt bureaucrats who often work for decades b4 promotion...
