Trump said he would waive interest on student loans held by federal agencies. What about interest on student loans that are held by private institutions?

And sorry but holding interest doesn’t really help much. How about a 3 month freeze? Interest doesn’t change my monthly payment. Literally won’t change anything for me.
If its a federal student loan then call them and ask for a three month deferral. During a deferral you don't have to make payments. Normally it would still accrual interest during deferral, but now it won't.

Unfortunately my 3 month deferral period was used during my early career job search/unemployment time. Luckily/or maybe unfortunately I work in healthcare so I likely will still have a paycheck during all this.

They’ll almost always do hardship deferrals, no questions asked.
