Reminds me of when all the actors in NY urged the city not to raise taxes on film production because it would destroy the movie industry there. As if film was the only industry that suffers under higher taxes.
Not bingo, Cenk is just being a basic capitalist. He’s lying l, they can “sustain” a union. And as for the movie industry, movie taxes are incredibly unique. They come in for a month or two and do a ton of business and explicitly pick places with huge tax breaks.
Industry suffers because we allow profiteering capitalists to run it, not because the slightest hint of societal responsibility makes them threaten to shut it all down.
