Occasional reminder that the "socialism" versus "capitalism" debate is a fake debate about a false dichotomy. Both plans are bad on their own, bad enough where "but this one is worse" isn't even a reasonable argument. Mixed economies exist and actually work!
It is, in fact, capitalism that rejects "sweeping, oversimplified programs that will apply blindly to everything." Socialism, by its very nature, necessitates them.
