Eugenics doesn't cure disease. It removes people who carry faulty genes from the reproductive pool. Your parent(s) who carry the faulty genes would have been sterilized and you wouldn't have been born. If the program started now, you would be sterilized. No one would be cured.

This is a thread about Dawkin's claim that eugenics is a scientifically sound principle. No one in this thread has argued that it should be implemented. Therefor no, I don't believe anyone here is calling for sterilization. I assumed folks in it knew what eugenics is though.

The claim was that having diabetes or asthma does not make you a better scientist. I never made that claim. I pointed out that having diabetes or asthma doesn't make you a worse scientist either. That's not just an argument. It's a fact.
