Only if by eliminating you mean terminating faulty humans rather than adjusting their chromosomes to ensure generic defects aren't passed on?
That's called gene therapy. It is not eugenics. Eugenics is controlled breeding and sterilization for the purpose of producing a superior population. Eugenics involves removing people with faulty genes from the reproductive pool. It does not involve repairing faulty genes.

I have a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who shows how Eugenics can affect animals. He's deaf, has problems with his eyes, and his teeth have all just been removed...he's 9yo. This breed has been extensively bred for select traits, but it doesn't only pass the good genes.
