We had 285 total people in our caucus and a 15% viability threshold, which meant you needed at least 43 people to be viable after the first round.pic.twitter.com/M5pU5OxPFL

People were already gathered in their assigned areas, and it was pretty clear who was viable and who wasn't. Biden had fewer than 30 people and Pete had right around the 45 or so. Even before we got a count on the first alignment, the Biden people bailed and went to Pete or Amy.

When we got to the first alignment, the totals were: Viable Sanders - 111 Warren - 68 Buttigieg - 47 Unviable Klobuchar - 36 Yang - 17 Steyer - 4 Biden - 2 Undecided - 1 I hand counted the viables, and just took the reports from the unviables, so this adds up to 1 extra.pic.twitter.com/pSt05Lo0Dl

They could have no preference for the presidential candidate but want to become a delegate to local/state/national conventions. Those delegates elect party chairs, officers, etc... They also write the party platform.
