They say on average you make $1 million more over the course of your career with a college degree. If you put the AVERAGE cost of tuition at an INSTATE, PUBLIC college into a mutual fund for 50 years you would make about $1 million. Objectively, college is a bad investment.

Average salary with a high school degree is not <$30k, it's $35k. Average salary with a college degree is not $100k, it's <$60k. Post degree income also correlates with starting wealth. The bottom 20% see no increase in earnings with a degree. ...You're perfect for Twitter.

The person with greater ambition and aptitude is less likely to be unemployed. They are also more likely to go to college. It’s their personal traits that make them less likely to be unemployed and healthy, not their college degree. The degree is a consequence, not the cause.
