They say on average you make $1 million more over the course of your career with a college degree. If you put the AVERAGE cost of tuition at an INSTATE, PUBLIC college into a mutual fund for 50 years you would make about $1 million. Objectively, college is a bad investment.

Average salary with a high school degree is not <$30k, it's $35k. Average salary with a college degree is not $100k, it's <$60k. Post degree income also correlates with starting wealth. The bottom 20% see no increase in earnings with a degree. ...You're perfect for Twitter.

I’m still talking about the average. If you’re from a poor family (in the bottom 20%) the degree has no correlation with higher earnings. If you’re from the top 20% of America’s wealthy, it has a tremendous impact.

Keep in mind, I’m talking about INSTATE, PUBLIC institutions. That already skews the figures in your favor. Out state schools without reciprocity or private institutions are out of the question looking at return on investment.

You're not getting this. If we include PRVIATE or OUT STATE schools tuition rises dramatically. I'm doing you a favor not including them. Most people are in private, out state, or in state schools of above average cost. Those people cannot reasonably expect a good ROI.
