I’ve supported impeaching two presidents. In both cases, there was no chance for conviction. Yet, in both cases, the president was guilty of serious misconduct. Partisanship saved Bill Clinton. In 1998 the House impeachment was bipartisan. Several Democrats voted to impeach. In 1998 the Senate acquittal was bipartisan. Several Republicans voted to acquit. This impeachment has bipartisan OPPOSITION in the House.
