what is the meaning of Boomer? true question, i don't get it.
When WW2 vets returned home, they started families. This caused a huge uptick in the number of births, or a "baby boom." People born between 1945-60ish are called baby boomers. Because older folks tend not to understand pop culture it's become an insult for anyone out of touch.

It's not so much them being out of touch, as them thinking they should still be running the world. The fact that they refuse to retire, and continue choosing policies for their own betterment instead of letting younger people choose policies that look to the future.
