Irrelevant RD’s thesis was that academia attracts intelligent and logical people However many fields attract intelligent and logical people. Therefore those are not variables defining people in academia The academy attracts based on personality, not intelligence or politics

academia actracts intelligence, I know you don't want to admit that because republicans are nearly completely absent and intellectually vacant. Thats a republican thing btw, not necessarily a right wing thing. In other countries, right wingers are actually educated.

Wall Street attracts intelligence Surgical medicine attracts intelligence The aviation industry attracts intelligence The question is: What other variables influence career choices of intelligent people? One is personality. People who avoid risk are attracted to academia.

and academia attracts intelligence. wow it's almost like multiple things attract intellligence. Who knew? also where do you think the research for much of what takes place in those industries listed get done? The mathematics involved? The engineering? It was by academics.

As you acknowlede, multiple things attract intelligence Therefore being in academia is not evidence of possessing higher intelligence than being outside of it Therefore RD’s thesis that we know liberalism is based on intelligence because liberals dominate academia is false

Yes but academia and in particular at the top universities is where the majority of world reknowned experts in the fields are, which is what is being discussed... and they are almost all democrat. Just facts.

No, recognition is not what’s being discussed. If it were, the question would become: Recognized by whom? The answer: Liberal academia recognizes liberal academia. That is evidence of a feedback loop, not objectively grounded authority.

recognised by what industries their research and findings are used in eventually? If you are gonna insist on labelling academia liberal then you recognise it when you use your liberal mobile phones, liberal flat screen TVs, Liberal cars, Liberal aircrafts, Liberal medicine etc.

Making use of findings isn't recognition Industries make extensive use of findings from people in the private sector. This is generally uncredited. That lack of recognition is not evidence of lower significance or intelligence Are you now disagreeing the academy is liberal?

you just asserted private sector discoveries are uncredited, but this isn't true. Apple is credited with tons of things. As are microsoft. As are google, spaceX etc.. Academia isn't liberal, it's only in the US that such a skew exists because republicans are anti-intellectuals

Apple is a company, not an expert The experts at Apple don't achieve the levels of notoriety that contributors from academia do because the don't receive public credit for their contributions RD's thesis is that all areas of the academy are liberal because liberals are smarter
