Excited for our latest Kepler stellar properties paper to be out, a massive effort led by . Includes revised masses, densities, ages & more for 180K+ Kepler targets, with a companion paper on revised exoplanet properties on the way!

(2/2) I encourage you all to watch and share the following video, which I hope will make abundantly clear the historical parallels between today and a seemingly much darker time. History may not repeat itself, but it rhymes.

(1/2) Regardless of your political affiliation and/or views, I think we can all agree that dehumanizing particular groups of people and placing them in camps constitutes a violation of human rights.

. shows at that recent observations reveal 2/3 of targets are main-sequence. Would likely have selected 1/3 (~50,000) targets differently if we knew at launch. But then we would have missed out all we learned about giant stars!

If you want to learn a little bit about the benefits of combining data from with information that we already know about @NASAKepler stars, you should check out my Aloha Brief:

We've added Berger et al. data for 2,123 Kepler planets and 1,519 Kepler stellar hosts to the Extended Planet Data table . Composite Planet Data table users will notice these updates increase the number of insolation fluxes by ~600%!

New paper on the arxiv today: "ASASSN-18ey: The Rise of a New Black-Hole X-ray Binary" () detailing our recent discovery of ASASSN-18ey. I made a 4min "Aloha Brief" video explaining the main parts of the paper:

Excited for the first full day of tomorrow! If you're here and interested, you should drop by poster 21 to learn about the power of combining parallaxes and data, and the subsequent impact on our understanding of stars and exoplanets!
