We have so much respect for @NYC_SafeStreets and their brave vigil today. Senator Golden’s tone was inappropriate and disrespectful.

Those grieving mothers are outside Senator Golden’s office today because he is a sponsor of a bill that could save New York City’s speed cameras and the best man to sway his colleagues to stand up for children’s lives.

Children are dying at a rate unprecedented since Vision Zero began and that will only get worse if Senator Golden fails to act. We are not playing protest games. We are fighting for the lives that are on the line.

Guy on phone at Senator Golden's office told me it's Cuomo and Flanagan.....and for some reason, Assembly Speaker Heastie. I think he want's the pressure to be on anybody but him. He's got influence, he can work to make this happen.
