weapon upgrades = decides shots to kill marines second armory and armor upgrades = less gas for ravens and tanks, little payoff
Hi there Terran friends, can you explain why pros only research weapon upgrades for tanks and not armor in tank+marines situations? Is armor useless?

i would assume it's because in an ideal engagement the marines are taking most of the damage, and the tanks are protected in the back

a lot of the damage tanks will be taking is from other tanks, where +1 armor is meaningless when you're getting hit for 70+ damage per shot
