Does anyone actually care that much about the Starcraft IP? I would play any RTS they make, doesn’t really matter if Kerrigan is in it or whatever
Enough people care to have an esport scene going for 20 years and counting. It’s mostly us that wants Mike and Amy to buy StarCraft because they are passionate about SC esports (Amy was VP esports at Blizz). For people like us, SC is life :)

Agreed but that’s not because of the blizzard IP, it’s because of the game. They could make a spiritual successor to Starcraft without any of the IP and I bet a good portion of the SC2 scene would switch to it.
