Can you not apply for some sort of fund for low/no income people that is not tied to a job?

nope, here you only get money when you are without a job. being a student menas you are not jobless. even though you don't get a fucking cent

In austria there is a waiver program that you can apply for the krankenkasse to waive fees for a while because they refuse to have someone uninsured. (They yelled at me for forgetting to switch back to student and was uninsured for a while) so maybe mail your KK and ask for help?

you have to pay privte yourself if no job is paying. Already had this a few times, is expensive as fuck, if you dont earn anything

because I am a not very common case, over 30 at uni, and now no income. maybe if the virus decides to kill itself, I will maybe be able to buy food middle of next month. now we have ramen and steal from the parents

oof I know that that uni/insurance mess too well -__- I'd offer to go shopping for you if I had a car or if we at least lived on the same side of the city :( But taking öffis across the entire town and back doesn't sound like a good idea atm :/ *HUGS* <3
