I mean 39 recorded, anything beyond that is just speculation is the thing There's always more cases than recorded because of weak symptoms but so far I've not heard anything like I have from japan where they're deliberately keeping numbers down

Im not saying they keep the numbers down deliberately just that saying that 39 cases number probably doesnt reflect the real number all that well

Everyone has been shutting down everything ever since Lunar New Year and if you come back from heavy-hit country (S.Korea/Italy/Japan/etc.), you are immediately quarantined for 14 days. For other confirmed cases, they also quarantine all of the close contacts too.

Case #17 came back from Europe (she was in Italy/England/France) without reporting so the gov shut down the whole ward that she was living it. Same with some of the earlier cases where they came back from Wuhan, the gov shut the whole village down.

And if you try to hide your travel history to avoid quarantine/run away from quarantine, you could be fined up to 7,6k Euros or 5 years in prison.

^ that is for both Vietnamese AND foreigners btw. Also we be suspending visa exemption programs with heavy-hit countries (S.K obv much earlier and for the EU countries, starting from today) and from what I've heard, you won't be able to apply for visa during this time eitherpic.twitter.com/Ki7Y7GbAOh

damn, all of that does sound really strict, I honestly couldn't really imagine something like that be implemented in Germany? Not necessarily a good or bad tho

Because the gov is paying for everything (you won't have to pay to be treated/quarantined (you get free food btw)) they probably won't be able to handle it if the numbers explode like in Germany so that's why they have to contain it early.

But they already have a plan on what to do IF our cases number does explode up to the thousands. We are very well prepared haha

Oh and foreigners will get treated for free, too. And I just want to add that if you are showing symptoms and show up at a hospital, you will be admitted and tested. We can produce up to 10000 test kits/day, no reason not to test those who might be infected.

We have hotlines, they advice against actually going to a hospital like patient #17 cuz now all doctors, patients in that hospital ward and their contacts have to be quarantined
