But I think they never bothered with those surgical masks. I've seen a few Asian people wearing those. Don't think the police bothers anyone with those. It's a really dumb law. Like ok banks don't allow it but why not on the streets that's so dumb
my co-worker showed me a pic he took at the hofer near his place 2 days ago and there was a guy with a huge gas mask buying 2 carts of stuff

Tbf I do stock up a little on SOME stuff but not to the level of “OMG WORLD ENDS!” More like “it will be inconvenient to get them later probably so might as well get more rn.”
