10/10 was during my first ever concert when Elton stared into my eyes while singing a big part of the song (I was front row), then winked at me after “looking on, she sings a song, the word she knows the tunes she hums” cuz he saw me singing along to every single song so yeah

Anyway that kinda ruined all other renditions of Tiny Dancer for me ever since

Amazing! that's so cool. I had kind of the same experience with Franz Ferdinand. I was the only one in the front without a phone filming Take Me Out so they looked surprised when they saw me :D

Yeah Elton remembers my face and probably my name and kept interacting with me whenever I managed front row It’s fun but at first I always got awkward af when he stopped walking and said “hi, I remember you” Elton remembers many of us regulars though so that’s neat.

It’s so funny though because he knows I’m VNese (I wrote him a few times) and during Daniel, the video screen shows VN war footage and he always looked at me like “you like it?” Daniel is one of my least favorite Elton John songs
