Something that Germans should appreciate more: Vietnamese food in Germany is so much better and more authentic than in Austria.

I wish it were different, it's so hard sometimes to find actually spicey food instead of the "lame ass" version. Even worse when something gets labeled as "hot" or "spicey" and then turns out not to be either of those
Haha I thought I was tough shit when I ate raw chilly pepper pieces in Asian restaurants in Austria, then I almost breathed out fire when I accidentally put one piece too many into my soup in Vietnam

We once asked the lovely Thai owners of a place where we regularly ordered food to make their (actually already hot) dishes more authentic & they were genuinely worried about us 
But they complied, and it was the hottest food I ever had, but it was so good
