tbh i thought their previous recruiting videos on their jobs page was fine as is...

The fact that they're hiring at any capacity right now is a big yikes already tho

Just looks like they cut positions deemed unnecessary and focus more on game development right now. If they lay off so many people and still be functioning, there must have been a lot of inefficiencies

They were hiring literally some of the same positions they cut.

that's the point where they realized the laid off too many? i get it though, mid-level leaders see more than higher ups do but when higher ups issue directives, it's gotta be executed on, and then when those directives turn out to be wrong, now they gotta fix the overcorrection

Starting salary is lower than the salary of someone who has been there for a while so it's "saving money" if you refill a position with someone fresh.

They still could have cut salary instead of laying off 900 people immediately tho
