    Don’t speak of reconciliation. Right now Canada is telling Indigenous children to reconcile themselves to consequence free violence against them.

    MY BOOK IS ON THIS LIST!!!! I can't believe it! I mean, I can, cuz it's a damn good book, but I'm so used to having to prove people wrong about me and what I'm capable of that I'm not used to NOT having to do that. If that makes sense. Anyway, just feeling grateful.

    Just finished this book by . “Chilling” was in my mind throughout, even before reading the cover quote. So worth reading, for the layers of history, Anishinaabe culture and language, dystopia based in reality, and simply a well-created story.

    The fossil fuel industry is now the equivalent of the tobacco industry. It creates death and destruction, and then spends billions denying its responsibility. We must transform our energy system away from fossil fuels and into energy efficiency and sustainable energy.

    Activists on the left need to check if their politics are actually decolonial. Are they promoting Indigenous systems and structures or simply different non Indigenous systems and structures? The later is still colonialism.
