  1. In order for your clients to want to work with you, it is vital that you know why they should! I guarantee if you don't highlight this to your prospective clients AND remind your existing clients-then you will make it easy for your competitors.

  2. If your prospect is prepared to make a decision, you must already have closed successfully on a whole host of decisions: setting the call, the client agreeing to meet so, remember these successful mini closes! This will help boost your confidence.

  3. Evolve - We live in an ever changing marketplace, the ability to change & evolve is vital. 'Move with the times'. Keep your clients updated with new trends, both your potential clients & existing ones!

  5. Closing actually begins with your initial contact with your prospect, so don’t associate it exclusively with the end of the sales cycle. You know people buy from people right? So view everyone you meet as someone you may want to help or work with!

  8. One of the most important elements of Closing is to do everything you can so you don't have to close! You might be thinking 'WHAT'? The mistake many Sales People make is to ask one or two questions then they pile in with 'my product is great because XYZ.

  9. Ask - for the business! When you have demonstrated you are the value, when you have created an experience for your client where they are in the right state of mind to buy. make sure, you make it easy for the client to buy. Don't offer to send them an email.

  11. Negotiation – What does this mean to you? Are you already thinking 'dropping the price' or 'bartering'… in a massive amount of instances, the investment or 'price' is not the area where your client will want to gain control!

  14. Objections - you get scared off or goes into a little panic when you hear what might be a 'no' so your confidence gets a little knock, but this situation needs to be seen as an opportunity to ask more questions.

  15. Initiative – Calling them up to let them know of a new initiative in the area or a new award just announced, that they should consider putting themselves forward for. Always try to think of ways you can help the client that they haven’t even considered yet!

  17. Sincerity - There is a lot to be said for acknowledging your customers but there has to be a balance doesn't there? Remember, YOU probably don't like a fake sales person, so be YOURSELF, people buy from people – FACT!
