    Studies consistently show the pullback in policing leads to an increase in violent crime, homicide. The gun homicide rate is skyrocketing to north of 14,000 killed in 2020, more than *double* the number of every U.S. soldier killed in 20 years of fighting in Iraq & Afghanistan.
