Good point here: Big point: amassing biometric data in a DB is a huge privacy concern because it is, critically, something that cannot be changed. Unlike many other things that are merely hard to change (ssn, physical address etc)

There are also some allegations that the company's technology is more likely to misidentify people with non-white skin tones (theverge.com/2022/1/26/2290), which contradicts the company's statement that the technology works equally well across "groups with different skin tones"
