    4) Passive investing increases systemic financial risk from climate change: As active investment exits the fossil industry, passive investors become the “holders of last resort” ensuring losses will be borne overwhelmingly by average investors & retirees

Oh, nothing, just a car company using their multi-million dollar Super Bowl commercial to LITERALLY SING ABOUT THE DEATH OF THE INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE. I am so here for this stub.

There it is folks. There is all the proof you need that removing the social license of O&G cos via divestment has an impact. It’s a one way street- get out or get crushed.

Alexander. Murkowski. Romney. Collins. That’s the ballgame. Holding on to slender hope.

I hate calling. And I just called Sen. Romney's office and left a VM. It's easy, takes 30 seconds. Do it.

75 years ago today over 7,000 prisoners of the German Nazi camp, including ca. 700 children, were liberated by the soldiers of the Soviet army. 1,689 days of murder, humiliation, suffering, and pain were over. Today we all remember. |

If Bobby Axelrod ran a green hedge fund...kinda delighted to see capital markets celebrating the rapacious greed of [checks notes] a green hedge fund manager making a killing helping the climate

The reason is this: carbon is a hardware problem, not a software problem. All the efficiency in the world--which we also need--won't solve the need for chemical, physical, and super scalable ways to absorb/ extract/ safely store or put to good use an 800 billion tons of carbon.

Thank you for pointing out the opportunities in climate. But: drawdown ideas *aren't* getting enough attention; even if we stopped ALL emissions tomorrow, we still have 800B tons CO2 we need to get out of the superfund site in the sky, fast.

It’s going to so hard so fast for gas companies to hold onto smart people, all of whom have gotta be eying the exits. Here for it 💯

Hey perhaps this electric mini TAAS bus thingy, designed specifically not to door cyclists, might be an acceptable piece of the transit puzzle ( recognizing we have to eaaaase people out of their SUVs into shared transit)
