    This is important reporting and insight into what Dowd is saying. Doesn't square well with hacked text message from Manafort's daughter where she talks about Manafort and Trump "hanging and plotting" about the campaign all day long, though.

    John Dowd emails other lawyers involved in the Trump case and says of Manafort, “PM has no info on President or campaign.”

    Final thoughts on the day: - Paul Manafort (or his attorney) has already offered a proffer to Mueller's team. They know what he can speak to and cooperate with. - Manafort & his team have been talking to Mueller since Monday (according to the docs). Further along than we knew.

    Looks like leaked passports for the two "tourists" charged with poisoning Skripal provided clues that show the two men are GRU officers:. Pretty sloppy of the Russians:

    Also, connected the duo to a telephone exchange in northern Moscow which happens to service the GRU. Forget visas to Western countries, fellow Russians, and say hi to the new Iron Curtain. Not my fault, but who’s going to care.

    What happens if Manafort lies during his cooperation? The Government has the ability to use his statements against him, prosecute him for additional crimes, and not advocate for a lesser sentence among other remedies. Basically, their part of the deal would be off.

    Important note (for people that think 'secret agreements' exist) from the Plea Agreement: The Government says that there are “no supersedes, no agreements, promises, understanding or representations made that are outside of the plea agreement.”

    I feel very badly for Paul Manafort and his wonderful family. “Justice” took a 12 year old tax case, among other things, applied tremendous pressure on him and, unlike Michael Cohen, he refused to “break” - make up stories in order to get a “deal.” Such respect for a brave man!
