American exceptionalism makes the erroneous assumption that every country they set out to "rescue" or for that matter destroy, will welcome them as heroes and liberators. It's one of the most flawed, arrogant and misleading narratives of modern time.
Pompeo does this to every single country he targets. It's predictable, it's boring and it's just egotistical of the American psyche to preach the idea that America is destroying and strangling countries for the common good of their people, who apparently welcome it.
