The data also show strong allyship with #BLM, as nearly 9 out of 10 (89%) reported that they support/strongly support the Black Lives Matter movement. Just over 4 out of 10 (41%) reported having protested the killing of unarmed Black men and women during the past 12 months 3/
A new DHS rule limits DACA protections to one year instead of two. This means that DACA recipients will have to pay to renew their status every year. Just under two-thirds (66%) reported this would make the cost of renewing "too much for me to afford" 4/
To be clear, the new DHS rule threatens to undo the economic and educational gains made by DACA recipients 5/
Among those currently working, over half (56%) reported that the new DHS rule will make it "more difficult for me to keep my job." Among those currently in college, 4 out of 10 (40%) reported that the new DHS rule will make it "more difficult for me to stay in college" 6/
Regarding the pandemic, nearly 6 out of 10 (58%) reported that they "have continued to work during the COVID-19 pandemic due to being an essential worker." 14% of whom reported that they have continued to work but have not been given PPE by their employer 7/
