      I wrote this in 2017. This analysis is based on administrative data from ICE. Their own data show that crime is lower and economies are stronger in sanctuary versus comparable non-sanctuary counties 2/pic.twitter.com/iC0n9bORwV

      Myself @lorenc2, #BenjaminGonzalezObrien, @danmartinezUA, and other colleagues have similarly found that there's either no statistically significant relationship between sanctuary policies and increased crime or that sanctuary policies are associated with less crime 4/

      I did recent research showing policies that limit cooperation between local law enforcement and federal immigration enforcement increases the trust that immigrant communities have in law enforcement.
