Yes it was. It was a DEC sanctioned event. The DEC does not endorse. So what Tom is saying is completely false. He agreed to the debate and then dropped out with little to no warning
Mr. Smoot guaranteed to the DEC and separately to myself his impartiality. I called Mr. Smoot after noting on his FPP page his endorsement of Adam - I'm actually OK with that. Not OK with the lies and reversals in that talk. I withdrew without comment.
