This form of state terrorism takes as many black lives as lynchings did at their worst.  We can and must work at the city, county level – for that is the only immediate recourse. But the systemic problem is the legal & moral environment in which the police operate.

This is best addressed at the Federal level. The USA spends trillions on national security & military but you’re more likely to be killed by a fellow American or worse, a public servant.

There is a broken system in America, which is evident with the video of #AhmaudAubrey. A system in which we currently live in only benefits whites and it's important to recognize the issues presented and understand why #BlackLivesMatter is an extremely important movement.

Murder has always been Illegal. But the flaws in our system has made murder both legal and convenient when it comes to the, #StandYourGround, law in #Florida.

You Doubt That? Well, for some people they feel there's less criminal risk in murdering an unarmed person than in firing a warning shot. This isn't protecting #Floridians. This is a Shoot to Kill Law.  It is an abomination.

This is how 'our' police are trained which contributes the #NewJimCrow that has resulted in millions of African Americans locked behind bars and then relegated to a permanent second-class status—denied the very rights supposedly won in the Civil Rights Movement.
