Price in/elasticity in a free market. Or are you for price controls?

No. I'm fine with a free market but is this one free? It's a question about fairness and regulation not a demand for price control.

Thanks for responding. Free markets price according to demand, supply and price elasticity. Pricing according to 'fairness' = control. 1/2

I would argue that the residents of tonbridge are wealthier on average than Eastbourne. So what's the 'fair' price differential? 2/2

But I suppose I can have no objection to our temporarily-not-MP trying to adjust local pricing elasticity by rattling a few cages. 3/2 (!)

Fairness is also about information. That's why I'm highlighting the differential.

Though interestingly you're in a much better position to influence end price as you control 65% of the number http://www.racfoundation.org/data/taxation-as-percentage-of-pump-price-data-page …

Isn't it because you #Tories favour 'the market' over fairness? #GE17

I think it's cos there's an Asda in E'borne that price the same nationwide so others compete. No low competitor in Ton so they charge higher

It's a lot cheaper in Longfield too, £1.12. Just another rip off I'm afraid.
