    . showed bold leadership by mandating Covid-19 vaccines for federal employees & contractors. It's time for Governor Hogan to do the same. Governor Hogan must mandate vaccines or regular testing for state employees, teachers, & staff at schools, nursing homes, & hospitals.

    The recent flooding in Rockville left dozens of families without anywhere to turn, but the community stepped in to help. Last weekend, I joined the District 18 delegation to donate items to help their efforts collecting supplies for our neighbors impacted by the flood.

    My surrogate father showed me the power of the labor movement. He worked hard and was able to live a comfortable life, but when the recession hit and he lost his job – his union stepped in to help. His impact led me to a career fighting on behalf of working people.

    I've cared about working people since I was a kid. Everyone who I loved was a working person - especially my best friend's dad. He was like a second father to me after I lost my own. He worked at a steel plant and was a member of the Teamsters Union.

    Loved speaking with the hardworking folks in 's Electrical Apprenticeship Program at their facility in West Baltimore yesterday. This program is developing the next generation of electrical workers and setting them up for successful, rewarding careers.
