Tom, I love the sentiment, but would like to hear more about actionable plans. Feel free to outline them so we can see how you/DNC are backing them up. Also, we notice that you/DNC make it very difficult for the base to meet and discuss ideas with you in an open forum.

Would you and @keithellison consider coming to @theAWParty D.C. conference in mid-May where we are specifically discussing voting rights, and policy that disproportionately affects WOC, Women, marginalized groups such as the disability community and the intersection of all?

As you know many folks in the media have pushed the narrative that Dems aren't unified (we are), that we don't have cogent ideas (we do) and that we aren't great with messaging (ah, they got us there). I hope you'll be interested in meeting with us to help with messaging.

I'm old enough to remember @JoeNBC and his @Morning_Joe panel blasting Democrats for not having any ideas or being weak on messaging. Virginia and Alabama is our answer to them.

Yes, but it was Alabama and Virginia Democrats on the ground and NOT the DNC. Don't be fooled.

This actually isn't true. It was certainly an effort of local and state groups, but the DNC and national groups and efforts did a lot, too. I personally text-banked 500 Alabamians from Ohio through Indivisible the last two weekends and Election Day.

I agree with you Matthew (and my organization also worked to #GOTV in AL and VA) that the DNC was on the ground. My comment was directed at Tom in regards to how he plans on centering Black women in the Democratic Party.

And they had to overcome phony centrists to do it. 91% of Republicans voted for Moore. Even more than voted for Trump (89%) 1.5% write-ins. Bc people who call themselves "moderates" would rather throw their vote away then vote for a Democrat. ...

We need to stop pandering to people who hate us. If a good man like Doug Jones isn't enough to garner a vote over a senile pedophillic bigot... maybe telling them what to vote AGAINST isn't as successful as showing everyone else what they could vote FOR.

What about the fact that Bernie Sanders is consistently the most popular politician in the Unites that you don’t understand? What is it about the millennial electorate that you don’t understand? Come midterms we will be the largest electorate in the country.

Trump is popular with his cult too. Sanders is the most popular with his own constituents in Vermont, one of the smallest, whitest states in the US. Sanders didn't even win some of his delegates. Look at NE & Washington State. Won tiny caucus, lost larger primaries
